Back in Blue

So the Allince won, as I hoped but on the down side. the Swedish democrats made it into the Senate.
Sweden is getting colder.
I had hoped that the other parties would have opened up and invited them in to the debates. Monsters bursts in the light of day.

I usually don't endorse violence but some people just bring out the evil side of me.
But we'll see how they act in civilized company - it's not really their scene, is it??!?
On the upside New York was great. Shopping, street life, good food, cool people - loves it!

We took a helicopter ride over Manhattan which was fierce. I saw the WTC/Ground Zero. We actually left on Sept 11th and I spent that day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I never went to Moma since it is opposite of the Manolo Blahnik store - a girl has to prioritize sometimes.

Now bedtime. I need my beauty sleep

Take care

Yes, we can!

Today is "Yes, we can"-day when Mr Obama will officially be announced the Prsiden of the United States.
I watched his speech on tv, there were some thing I really liked, some I liked and some I didn't like. One thing he said that I reacted to was: We will not change our lifestyle" I really think we all, every signle one of us has o change our lifestyle. If we want this world to go on. The situation we are in today, both the shifts in climate and the financial crisis, depends on something and I do believe it is our lifestyle that has got us all into this situation.

Now, on a more positive note: I really believe that Mr Obama can and will make a difference. It will be hard and hard descicions must be made but I think if anyone can do it he can.

Personally I have booked a Valentine's Day trip for my man and myself to Copenhagen. I believe in creating things to look forward to. Espescially now during this dark and rainy period.

Now I'm off

Taking the easy way out

We are moving into mum and dad during the whole rebuildning and renovating.
On the upside:
- no dust and noises
- mum's meatballs and mashed potatoes
- no need to clean or do laundry (I will however help out)
- new job starts on Monday

On the downside:
- living with mum and dad again after more than 10 years on my own
- it's far from my gym
- no cable
- no dvd
- no good music
- constanly being around my parents.

I know I'm bithcing and complaining but I'm spoiled with having things my own way, coming and going as I please and eating when I want to.

Watched a documentary about the US elections. If I where to vote, I'd vote for the democratic party but I wonder if the average American is ready for either Hillary or Barack? Don't get me wrong I'd love to see either one of them as the next President. But what if choosing between a black brother and a woman they will turn to whats safe: the white guy McCain and there'll be 4 more years of republican reign.

I wonder if Hillary wins: will she appoint Barack vice-president?

Take care
